Apple’s Bendable iPhone Patent Has Been Granted

Some interesting news has just come in regarding Apple as their Bendable iPhone Patent Has Been Granted. The patent will enable them to  manufacture a flexible device which could withstand being bent and twisted. This has come about just months after customers complained that the new iPhone 6 handsets were becoming bent in their pockets by accident.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office have granted Apple the patent to create “a flexible electronic device” which can also include “a flexible display, a flexible housing and one or more flexible internal components”.

Bendable iPhone Patent

Apple were granted a similar patent for flexible displays back in October 2014 and also a another one in February the previous year. The news of the latest patent comes as one of Apple’s rivals LG revealed their new LG G Flex 2 which is actually their 2nd curved smartphone. It will of course remain to be seen what Apple’s device will be and when it will be released. It is unlikely to be this year but you never know with Apple.
