BlackBerry Offer Cash To Trade In iPhone For BlackBerry Passport

BlackBerry have made an announcement today that they are hoping will tempt current iPhone users to switch allegiance to BlackBerry. The offer to iPhone owners is cash up to $550 (about £350) for their device, but the deal is they must purchase a BlackBerry Passport.

This deal is only available in America and Canada and starts on December 1st and the offer comes to an end on February 13th. iPhone users upgrading to a BlackBerry Passport will get up to $400 USD (about £255) for their iPhone, plus an additional $150 USD (about £95) in the form of a Prepaid Visa Credit Card. The amount that iPhone owners receive will be dependent on the model and the condition of the iPhone that is being traded.

So we can see that BlackBerry are going all out to try and get themselves back in the game and become serious rivals again to Apple. It doesn’t seem all that long ago that they were serious players and close competitors to Apple so could they be bouncing back? They are certainly doing everything they can.
