The Sparkle V is Karbonn’s flagship model that has an Android One operating system with a 4.5-inch display and it will be available on Amazon for a mere £100. It is usually £129 which let’s face it is still cheap in this day and age.

The smartphone may be budget in price but you do get a fair bit of kit for your money. It has a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a 5 megapixel camera on the back.

Deborshi Sarkar, head of sales at Karbonn’s parent company Santok, recently said “We will launch [the Sparkle V] in retail in Q1 [2015] as well as a 4G device and next year we will be releasing more devices under the Android One brand. In Q3 and Q4 next year, we will look to partner with software companies and apps,”
