Cyber Monday Has Arrived
Well we have just had Black Friday and now it is the turn of Cyber Monday which has become known as such in the USA as the biggest online shopping day that takes place on the Monday after Thanksgiving. It has however spread and is also marketed in the UK and online retailers will be hoping that a spending spree will continue on a day when internet shopping could reach its Christmas peak. It has become known as “Cyber Monday” and many online shops will be offering big discounts for customers looking to go mad in the build up to Christmas. Analysts tell us that the first two Mondays in December are the busiest shopping days online.
However it has been suggested that people are now not panicking and are leaving shopping until later, mainly due to the growing confidence in delivery services as retailers now rely more on their online side of the business. Cyber Monday and Black Friday have both been jumped on massively in recent years by retailers and these days are used in marketing and we now even see TV adverts promoting these shopping days which actually then makes them even busier than they may have been. It is funny as we are being told that these two days are the busiest shopping days, we of course then think that we should be doing our Christmas shopping too! Don’t panic people, there are still plenty of days and plenty of deals to be had before your time runs out.
