Flying Cars – now a thing of the NEAR future!

Terrafugia, the American company who are working hard to bring cars to the sky, have announced that their flyable cars should be available commercially in 2016.
“Driven to Fly”, these innovators are developing a “car” that can take off and land vertically.  No need for runways or even flying lessons!  These automobiles put the “auto” into transport as they can calculate their flight map and oncoming traffic once you key in your destination.  According to Terrafugia’s Facebook page, the company’s mission is to “To provide innovative solutions to the challenges facing personal aviation and increase personal mobility through the integration of ground and air travel.”  And you won’t have to be a millionaire to drive one either.  The company’s plan is to provide them on a shared lease basis so you would only use it to get from A to B and someone nearby could then travel from B to C and so on.

Bringing efficiency and safety to our every day travel, flying cars could be one of the greatest innovations of our time.
