Google Glass 2 To Launch In 2015

Google Glass has barely got off the ground and we are hearing that Google Glass 2 will be launching next year. Also big news is that Google will elbow Texas Instruments and replace them with Intel as a chip provider, which will improve the battery life of the device which has been a major problem for them to date. The Wall Street Journal have said “it isn’t clear what Intel chip Google will use in the new version of Glass, but there will be an emphasis on power conservation”.

Intel are renowned for making decent, high quality chips, but apart from that Intel will probably go all out on the promotion side like they have with Ultrabooks. It has been suggested that Intel will promote Google Glass to organisations including hospitals and construction. Intel are gaining more partnerships in the mobile industry as many smartphone and tablet manufacturers have turned to Atom processors.
