Investors Unhappy With Samsung Minor Reshuffle

We reported recently that many staff at Samsung Electronics (particularly some of the higher profile ones) were nervous with rumours of a major reshuffle in personnel. However the fears proved unnecessary as the reshuffle was not as major as anticipated and almost all of the key unit chiefs have retained their positions within the company. Investors have been left disappointed by the tech giants stance as they were expecting bigger changes in order to address its declining market share and sliding profits.

Samsung Reshuffle

Rumours were spreading that Shin Jong-kyun, the chief executive of its mobile division, or possibly his two co-chief executives, namely Kwon Oh-hyun and Yoon Boo-keun would be pushed aside but to much surprise there have been no changes in this area. So it appears that jobs are safe for now, but investors will be expecting a big turn around over the next few months, particularly in the smartphone market where they have really suffered recently in the battle against Apple, who’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus release appear to have hit Samsung hard.
