Microsoft Buys Email Company Acompli
Microsoft has confirmed that it has acquired email startup company Acompli. This is quite a deal that will see Microsoft buy a powerful email client for iPhone and Android. Acompli has been referred to as “the Outlook for iPhone that Microsoft hasn’t yet built,” and it appears that Microsoft were just as impressed with the email app.
Rajesh Jha who is the Vice President of Outlook said “We’re excited about what’s possible as we build on the app’s success and bring it together with work currently in progress by the Outlook team. Our goal is to deliver fantastic cross-platform apps that support the variety of email services people use today and help them accomplish more.”
It is rumoured that Microsoft are paying $200 Million (about £127 million) for Acompli.
