New iPad Air 2 Revealed by Apple as Thinnest Yet
We announced on here several days ago that there had been a leak and that Apple’s iPad Air 2, would be the thinnest yet and Apple confirmed this on Thursday at their media event in California.
The iPad Air 2 was paraded by Apple’s Tim Cook and unveiled at the much anticipated media event at Apple’s HQ on Thursday. The newly released tablet is less than half the thickness of the first iPad.
The iPad Air 2 has an A8X chip and comes with 40% faster processing power, according to Apple Vice President Phil Schiller. The camera has also had a major update and has been boosted from 5 megapixels to 8 megapixels.
A expected there were no surprises that the device has had the Touch ID added which has been added to the iPhones since the 5S model was launched.
Prices in the USA have been revealed and they range from $499 for the 16GB version to $699 for the 128GB model and prices in the UK have yet to be revealed but will follow shortly. Apple have started to take pre orders today and products will be shipped next week.
