The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Unveiled
Samsung revealed their latest mobile edition at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last weekend and set the internet alight. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices mark Samsung’s departure from plastic in exchange for the more premium materials of aluminium and glass. The curves of the edge are not without substance and house a new feature called “People Edge”, designating the area to 5 of the owner’s chosen contacts, which can be pulled up easily. Each contact is assigned a colour so as a call comes through the phone user may easily foresee who the caller is, even when the phone is face down.
The changes in the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are not just aesthetic but Samsung have ditched two of their main differentiators – their removable battery and option to insert a memory card in order to increase and transfer storage. While some Samsung fans are not welcoming these changes, Samsung are now supplying an innovative high speed wireless charger and increased internal storage options of 64GB and 128GB.
Available in an array of colours, including white, black and gold, we can’t wait to see these new S6 models in their elegant flesh and with a much improved camera, we are sure they are going to make a distinctive mark in the smartphone market when they are released on 10th April this year.
