Samsung Will Not Buy BlackBerry Says Co CEO

News today is confirmation that Samsung Will Not Buy BlackBerry. There were some serious rumours last week that Samsung had made BlackBerry an offer to acquire the business which saw BlackBerry shares rise. The rumour was soon put to bed and now Samsung’s co CEO said today that Samsung want to develop the partnership they have with BlackBerry but there are absolutely no plans of an acquisition.

Samsung To Buy BlackBerry

J.K. Shin has said: “We want to work with BlackBerry and develop this partnership, not acquire the company.”

He also said acquiring BlackBerry would not be part of their strategy as they have built ambitions for the enterprise market based on its own security platform named Knox. Samsung have invested heavily in Knox in recent years and they said: “We are satisfied with the progress of Knox, including the quality of security and protection that it enables, and remain committed to Knox over the long term.” They added  “We value all of our relationships.”
