While Apple fans turn their gaze towards April, the rumoured release month for the much anticipated Apple Watch, Smart Watch company Pebble caused a media storm worldwide yesterday as they broke a crowd funding record on Kickstarter. Having launched their campaign to fund their 2nd watch only 2 days ago. In the first hour following the announcement of Pebble Time more than $2m (£1.2m) had been raised by roughly 11,000 backers, breaking through their initial target of $500,000 and they have now raised $10,417,473.
Packed with features to manage the past, present and future, the Pebble Watch 2 will pose strong competition to the Apple Watch while retailing at a more accessible starting price point of $199. And with customisable straps in an array of colours, the watch offers aesthetic appeal too.
