Geared for the smart world of today, Gogoro, a Taiwanese company has launched Smart Scooters. These scooters are fully integrated with smart phones as well as having a display screen. Running on battery power, these scooters will be available from June 27th 2015 in Taipei. The batteries need to be changed after they finish and can be changed at any Gogoro charging station in the city. These scooters are priced £2,600. The main idea behind these scooters is environmental friendly. As scooters are the primary mode of transportation in Taipei, Gogoro’s success is dependent on the efficiency and availability of the charging stations.

‘‘Gogoro wanted to demonstrate to the world the leadership behind smart energy and smart transportation,” mentioned by Gogoro chairman and co-founder, Horace Luke. He also added that the scooter’s reception by Taiwanese citizens had been “phenomenal” so far.
