Wearable Technology Sees Regular Growth

Goldgenie have written a few articles on Wearable technology recently and it is fast becoming the latest fad. However the experts claim that this is not just a gimmick that will pass but will be around for quite some time and will quite possibly become as popular as smartphones and tablets. According to the experts at David Allen IT there is big big potential for these new, somewhat futuristic devices such as Google Glass and Apple Watch.

Wearable Technology Growth

They said: “Wearable technology has the potential to be big, providing there are easy to use apps and programs to support it. For example Nike has been making wearable pedometers built into trainers for years but this year pulled the plug on the technology, due to lack of user friendly programs.

“Apple on the other hand have invested millions of dollars in a new watch for 2015 along with a series of biometric applications. The apps will provide new coaching and support for things like dieting and fitness. They also have the ability to allow professions such as medical and nursing staff to have easy to use devices to support patients.

“Another area that is only going to increase is ‘cloud’ technologies. The ability for businesses to have affordable servers and unlimited file storage without the overheads associated with on-premises hardware and support skills is highly desirable.”
